Rarely have I heard such twaddle about a real problem, as that spoken about the tidying up of Oxford’s Cowley Road (see The Issue, left).
Some restaurants won’t deal with bins and overspill properly, with cooking oil contaminating the pavement – as residents know only too well.
The council, meanwhile appears not to respond to regular reports of rubbish and flytipping – even from me – and I am one of its recycling champions.
The fly-tipping outside the former Green Street Bindery goes on, and yet no one seems to have been tackled over it.
Comments that local residents don’t mind the rubbish, meanwhile, are dim-witted.
Meanwhile, we have rubbish, faeces, vomit and condoms to clear up from our land.
