FOLK fans danced, sang and played music during an annual festival.
Some 150 people enjoyed the 14th White Horse Folk Festival.
From Friday until Sunday, pubs, the village hall and the rugby club in Grove were taken over with traditional music and dancing.
The festival, which originated in Stanford in the Vale in 1986, was founded by Kate and Dave Guest.
Mrs Guest, 47, said: “It’s just a celebration of traditional English song, music and dance.
“Some 150 like-minded people got together and that’s what we did for the whole weekend, we sang, we played and we danced.
“It was a fantastic festival, everything was well-attended and the weather didn’t dampen spirits.”
On Saturday, groups such as Cornucopia Dance performed outside The Bell pub, in Main Street, while Rose Hips Belly Dancers, pictured, and Vale Islanders took their performance into the bar because of the rain.
Yesterday, folk musicians entertained punters at The Volunteer, in Station Road.
Mrs Guest added: “It was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves – that was the whole point.”
