POLICE raided an Oxford house in a hunt for drugs – and arrested two people.
Twelve officers forced open the door of the home in Botley Road, above, at 1.35pm yesterday, and discovered suspected cannabis and cocaine.
A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs, and a man in his 30s on suspicion of possession of class B drugs, and handling stolen goods.
They were last night being questioned.
Meanwhile, families in Reliance Way, East Oxford, have been speaking of news that police had seized £500,000 of heroin, cocaine and cannabis from a house in their street last month. Officers said the seizure on, July 25, was one of the largest the city had seen.
Gennaro Cappellati, 33, who lives in the road, said: “I’m not really surprised.”
