Danish hearing aid company GN Resound has taken two new sites in Oxfordshire as it expands its European operations.
The company has shifted its head office from Weston-on-the-Green to a new site at Kirtlington Business Centre, while part of its distribution has been moved to a headquarters building at Granville Way, Bicester.
Dating back to 1943, GN Resound it is one of the world’s largest providers of hearing instruments and audio technology.
The company has bases in more than 80 countries and employs more than 3,000 staff. The headquarters building was built in 2004/2005 for furnituire manufacturer Stonebridge to a high specification incorporating substantial yard and parking facilities with a high bay warehouse.
Stonebridge has moved its facility to Launton Road in Bicester and leased its former premises to GN Resound.
Agents White Commercial and Harringtons acted for Stonebridge with Carter Jonas advising G N Resound.
Chris White, of White Commercial, said: “The new facility provides excellent modern, distribution accommodation and is situated at Bicester, which affords excellent access to the motorway network via Junction Nine of the M40.”
The remaining part of the premises is currently under offer and this will complete the letting of the 48,000 sq ft unit which sits on a self-contained site of 2.45 acres adjacent to Brita Water Filters and British Bakels. G N Resound has taken the premises on a full repairing and insuring lease for ten years.
