A GLOSSY new book is helping the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust celebrate its 50th anniversary year. Put together voluntarily by a local designer with photographers supplying images free of charge, Fifty showcases the wildlife of the three counties and the role of the wildlife trust in protecting it over the last half-century.
The book, which focuses on 50 species, has a foreword by natural history TV presenter Steve Backshall and features more than 100 wildlife photographs, and information about species the trust has helped to protect.
The book is on sale for £12.95 (+£2 P&P) for a limited period, but usually retails at £17.95 (+£2 P&P).
It can be bought via the trust’s website www.bbowt.org.uk, or at the visitor centres at Warburg Nature Reserve, near Henley, or College Lake Nature Reserve, near Tring.
