Peter Johnson has been appointed as the new chairman of electronics and maintenance products firm Electrocomponents based at the Oxford Business Park.
Mr Johnson, 63, who is currently chairman of paper and packaging materials producer DS Smith, takes over from Helmut Mamsch who has retired.
He was previously chief executive of George Wimpey and prior to that chief executive of The Rugby Group.
Mr Johnson said: “Electrocomponents is a strong and well invested global business with leading positions in many markets and attractive structural growth opportunities. I am very much looking forward to taking up my new role and working with the board."
