UP TO 1,000 people are set to descend on a tiny village today for the 13th Truck Festival.
Organisers are pictured putting up banners which will fly over Hill Farm, Steventon, for the festival, which is running over three days for the first time in its history.
The remaining 5,000 or so music lovers are expected to arrive tomorrow for a line-up ranging from headliners Mew and Teenage Fanclub to local favourites such as Stornoway and A Silent Film.
The festival is the brainchild of brothers Robin and Joe Bennett, who originally set up the event to mark Robin’s birthday using the flatbed of a truck as the stage. It has grown ever since to the point where it attracts festival-goers from all over the country and is regularly praised as a perfect example of a small festival.
For a full line-up, visit thisistruck.com. Tickets are likely to be available on the door, priced at £80 for an adult weekend ticket with day tickets available from £44.
