Administrators said last night they were still hopeful of saving more than 40 jobs at a troubled bakery.
The Queen of Hearts Bakery, in Sandy Lane, was put up for sale by administrators last month, after they were called in by parent company D&G Food Group.
Hopes were high that a buyer could be found quickly but last night a spokesman for corporate recovery firm Milner Boardman & Partners said talks were continuing.
She added: “We have not completed the sale, but it’s hopeful at the moment.”
Milner Boardman has sold two of D&G’s bakeries, in Devon and Derbyshire, but shut down one in Plymouth with the loss of 50 jobs.
