A list of people convicted on offences at magistrates courts around the county recently: Stephen Simmons, 47, of Woodin’s Way, Oxford, convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on December 29. Fined £150, with £200 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs.

Anne-Marie Fairhurst, 44, of White Road, Oxford, admitted violent behaviour at at St Aldate’s police station in Oxford on June 13 by banging on a locked door with a wooden stake and using it to try to pry open the door. Also admitted commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £100 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Michael Masila, 37, of Barton Road, Oxford, admitted driving without insurance, driving without a licence and drink driving in Blackthorn Close in Oxford on May 29. Had 46 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Banned from driving for a year, fined £120, with £15 victims’ surcharge and £105 costs.

Malcolm Plaisted, 22, of Paradise Street, Oxford, admitted failing to attend or remain at an initial assessment following a test for a Class A drug in Oxford on April 29. Fined £100, £15 victims’ surcharge and £15 costs.

Robert Kelly, 24, of Park End Street, Oxford, admitted assault by beating, criminal damage to a bedroom window, harassment without violence and commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended prison order in Oxford between April 13 and April 15. Jailed for 285 days and given an indefinite restraining order.

Robert Pyne, 36, of Park End Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting £43 of perfume from Boots in Oxford on May 24 and a £210 television from Tesco in Oxford on April 26. Jailed for 56 days.

Simon Sarbon, 35, of Garsington Road, Oxford, admitted being a driver failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Oxford on April 24 and production of 28 cannabis plants (class B) in Oxford on March 11 and commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Banned from driving for three years and jailed for 12 weeks.

Jason Light, 26, of Lower Icknield Way, Chinnor, convicted of assault by beating in Thame on November 27. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £150 compensation and £300 costs.

Anthony Dando, 43, of Honeywall, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted assault by beating and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of violence in Oxford on October 30. Also admitted failing to surrender to court bail and using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on October 30. Given a two-month curfew, fined £25 and told to pay £100 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Edmond Gona, 31, of Morris Crescent, Oxford, admitted driving without a licence, driving without insurance and drink driving in Cowley Road, Oxford, on June 4. Had 69 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Jailed for 12 weeks and banned from driving for five years.

Nathan Padar, 19, of Rackham Place, Oxford, admitted two counts of causing a danger to road users by shining a green laser light into the eyes of a car driver on Churchill Place, Wolvercote, on September 23 and August 27. Given a three-month curfew and told to pay £125 costs.

Sasha McMahon, 22, of Fern Hill Road, Oxford, convicted of assault by beating in Oxford on March 5. Fined £60, with a £15 victims’ surcharge and told to pay £125 costs.

Richard Merritt, 49, of Chillingworth Crescent, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a suspended sentence by failing to report for supervision on May 5 and 14. Given a two-week curfew.

Ian Dineen, 43, of Cecil Sharp Place, Oxford, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress on May 23 in Forest Hill. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £60 costs.

Thomas Yeates, 25, of Cherry Tree Close, Southmoor, admitted possession of cannabis (Class B) in Faringdon on June 3. Fined £280, £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Kerrie McCall, 31, of Giles Road, Oxford, convicted of driving without insurance and without a licence in Cowley Road, Littlemore, on February 11. Fined £100 and a £15 victims’ surcharge and banned from driving for a year.

Jose De Andrade Pereira, 28, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving in School Place, Oxford, on May 2. Had 193 microgrammes in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35mg. Given a 20-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months. Also ordered to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work, banned from driving for three years and told to pay £50 costs.

Marko Duvnjak, 25, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted theft of a purse and contents valued at £170 on December 2 in Oxford. Given a six-month drug-rehabilitation order and 12 months’ supervision. Also told to pay £179 compensation.
