YOUNG people dressed in their best suits and ball dresses to enjoy a night at their own version of the Oscars.
The Abdabs Youth and Community Theatre celebrated its fifth birthday with an awards night on Thursday.
More than 100 young people made their way down the red carpet into the Corn Exchange, in Market Square, Witney, to receive accolades for their hard work over the year.
Television actress Natasha Gant handed out some of the awards, while Abdabs also presented a cheque for £300 to an RAF representative for forces charity Help for Heroes, money collected during the group’s recent shows.
Organiser Debbie Tuff said: “These sorts of events are there to help build on young people’s confidence and self esteem through rewarding their achievements.”
So far this year, Abdabs – which is for anyone aged from five to 18 – has put on three musical shows.
Its most recent was Alice in Wonderland at the Corn Exchange,Witney, in May.
