A DRUG dealer found with £3m worth of cocaine in the boot of his car has been ordered to pay back £113,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Martin Lonsdale was caught by police with 6.5kg of the controlled drug in his car on the A4260 at Bunkers Hill, near Kidlington, in April last year.
The 51-year-old, of Chapel Close, in Clifton, near Deddington, was jailed for 11 years and four months’ last December.
At Oxford Crown Court yesterday, Judge Anthony King agreed Lonsdale had profited to the tune of £539,630.52. However, it was decided that he was only able to pay back £113,000.
Two other men, arrested in Abingdon on the day that Lonsdale was caught, were also jailed and told to hand over their share of the proceeds.
Harry Lenton, 25, of Basingstoke, Hampshire, was jailed for nine years and was found to have benefited by £2,000 and was ordered to pay back the full amount.
Matthew King, 43, of Whitchurch, Hampshire, was jailed for nine years and four months and was told to pay back £5,857.71, having benefited by £10,667.33.
