Paul Attewell, from Blewbury.
What vehicle do you drive? I drive a 1984 Aston Martin Tickford Capri.
How long have you had it? I have had the car for nine years and I am the second owner.
How much did it cost? When I got the car it cost £5,500.
Why did you get this particular vehicle? I got this car because I have always been into classic cars, mostly Fords. I bought a Classic Ford magazine once and in it there was an article about the Tickford Capri. It said how rare it was – and that it was the ultimate Capri to get. A year later I saw a Tickford Capri in Auto Trader and went and bought it, because I know these cars don’t come up for sale often.
What do you like most about it? What I like most about the car is how rare it is, because they only made 100 and only 40 now exist. It’s nice driving something special.
What irritates you most about it? There is nothing that irritates me about the car. I love everything about it.
Is it good value for money? The car is a good investment, because it has increased in value over the years.
Does it have a name? No.
What is your favourite memory of the vehicle? My best memory is when I saw it for the first time. I knew then that I would never sell it.
And your worst? My worst memory was having to sell my BMW M535 to buy the Tickford.
If you could own any vehicle what would it be? It would have to be a Ford RS200.
What was your first car? How much did it cost and how long did you own it? My first car was a Ford Orion which I paid £800 for and kept for two years.
