Sir – The Oxfordshire Business Awards which were announced this month should not pass without acknowledgement of the continuing success of the leisure, hospitality, and tourism sector within West Oxfordshire.
All three finalists in this award category, which attracted 42 strong entries, came from our district, with Blenheim Palace not only the winner of the category, but the overall winner of the title of Oxfordshire Business of the Year.
When the staff of Blenheim Palace, West Oxfordshire District Council’s leisure and tourism department, and our colleagues from Witney Lakes Resort stepped up as the three finalists at a glittering awards dinner in Oxford, compere Adrienne Lawler acknowledged that all three finalists came from our wonderful part of Oxfordshire.
Everyone who lives in West Oxfordshire should be proud that our area leads the way both in the promotion and the infrastructure for tourism, leisure, and hospitality.
The award category was sponsored once again by another West Oxfordshire Company, the Witney-based Four Pillars Hotels.
Stuart Harrison Director Witney Lakes Resort
