Legal firm Peninsula is hosting a free employment law and health and safety seminar.
In a recent nationwide survey conducted by Peninsula, research showed that 83 per cent of employers feared being taken to an employment tribunal by staff.
And 76 per cent of UK employers admitted they were not competent in all aspects of employment law.
Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula, said: “The seminar is designed to update businesses on the detailed changes in employment law and health and safety.
"The purpose of our seminars is to enable employers to have awareness and knowledge of new regulations forthcoming and to understand the implications on their business.
“Employers are spending on average 10 hours a week dealing with red tape and the seminar will advise them on how to cut through the minefield and avoid being prosecuted.”
The seminar will cover both present and forthcoming changes to employment law and will also cover the health and safety obligations employers must follow, whilst providing practical and helpful advice.
The event is open to managing directors/directors only. There will also be the opportunity for employers to ask questions.
It takes place at Eynsham Hall, North Leigh OX29 6PN on July 8 from 9.30am-12.45pm.
