A CHINESE man was knifed in the head and chest following an argument with kitchen staff at an East Oxford restaurant.
Police were called to Red Star, in Cowley Road, at 6pm yesterday after the row in the kitchen of the popular noodle bar.
A man in his early 20s was stabbed in the head and chest and taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital. Last night police confirmed his injuries were not life threatening.
The restaurant was closed at the time, but re-opened for business yesterday.
A 37-year-old Vietnamese man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and was tonight in police custody.
East Oxford Inspector Marc Tarbit said: “There was no threat to the public as the restaurant was closed at the time of the incident.”
