BIKERS shrugged off their leathers and picked up tools to help transform the garden of a village library.
Members of the H Riders, based at the H Cafe on the A4074 near Berinsfield, and local footballers helped build three planters for Berinsfield Library’s garden on Saturday. They will be returning this week to fill them up and plant seeds. The event was organised by Barbara Jordan, of Oxfordshire County Council, and Steve Abbott-Harding, pictured front, chairman of the H Riders.
He said: “It was about getting the community together. It was hot work, but we got it done.”
Project manager Bev Oakley said: “It’s been absolutely lovely to see everybody working together.”
