SKITTLES was a favourite pastime for members of Headington Conservative Club in Oxford.
Members celebrated in 1969 when a new alley was opened.
The official opening was performed by Norman Chester, the then Warden of Nuffield College and an alderman on Oxford City Council.
The skittles team is seen putting the pins into position before play began, with Alderman Chester on the right of the picture.
