HUNDREDS of job seekers are expected to flock to the Oxford Mail Job Fair in Abingdon on Friday (25).
Prospective employees can get advice and information from 15 stalls in the town’s Guildhall, and workers looking for a change can find out how to transform their career.
The free fair is open from 10am until 4pm.
Among the employers gearing up to receive CVs, talk about job opportunities and advise jobhunters on how to get back into the workplace are the Armed Forces, Reed Recruitment and wedding information site Guides for Brides.
Job Fair co-ordinator Belinda Rand said the event was ideal for anyone considering a career change or gaining new qualifications and skills, as well as job-seekers. She added: “There will be many opportunities across the board, from the public sector and private sector, to the Armed Forces.
“The fairs are normally very busy and people find it encouraging to know there’s advice out there.“ Oxford Mail Job Fairs held in Oxford and Banbury have attracted thousands of jobseekers in the past and organisers are hoping for a similar turnout today.
