A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a man was critically injured in Kidlington.
Police said at about 6.45pm yesterday, the ambulance service attended The Red Lion pub, in Oxford Road, following reports that a 30-year-old man suffered serious head injuries outside the pub.
Det Insp Steven Duffy said: “We believe the man was assaulted by somebody in the pub.
I appeal to anyone who was watching the football in The Red Lion yesterday and witnessed a man being assaulted to contact police immediately.
“The victim remains in the John Radcliffe Hospital in a critical condition.”
