DIANA Mitchell reckons that the police were to blame for the killings in Cumbria (Oxford Mail ViewPoints, June 18).

What nonsense. If, however, all police were armed, what a different outcome could have been achieved.

Perhaps Diana agrees with me that the police should be armed (as they are in the rest of Europe)?

Would Cameron and Clegg, a more radical Government than we have ever seen in my lifetime?

Let them do the necessary.
