TRAIN operator Wrexham & Shropshire has again been rated the best in Britain by Rail passengers.
The firm, which links London with Shropshire and North Wales via Banbury, scored 99 per cent for customer satisfaction in the bi-annual national survey by watchdog group Passenger Focus, up from 98 per cent six months ago.
W&S’s sister firm Chiltern Railways scored 91 per cent, placing it joint fifth for customer satsfaction out of the 23 train operators covered by the survey.
CrossCountry Trains, which serves Oxford and Banbury, scored 85 per cent.
First Great Western’s long-distance express services scored 86 per cent but only 81 per cent of passengers on the firm’s Thames Valley commuter services were satisfied with their journeys.
More than 31,000 passengers were questioned for the survey, with an overall national satisfaction rate of 83 per cent.
