Sir – Here we go again! It is only a couple of months since you last published a letter complaining that, by not keying in the correct destination for free tickets, bus drivers are defrauding public funds, when — as I understand it — charging for free tickets is at a fixed rate, regardless of the length of the journey. Please again publish an official explanation.

Please also contact the bus companies. Arriva generally seem to have managed to train their drivers to key in the correct destination, avoiding any misunderstanding. What about the others ?
