A SECOND discount supermarket has submitted plans to build a store in Bicester.
Aldi wants to build a shop at the empty former British Gas site, off Launton Road, next to building supplier Wickes.
The move comes just weeks after Cherwell district councillors approved an application by Lidl for the former CCH Editions site, on the corner of Telford and Launton Road.
Aldi hopes to get the green light to build a 1,508 sq metre supermarket with a 990 sq metre trading area and 111 parking spaces.
The firm says in its application the store would be open from 7am to 9pm daily and create 11 fulltime jobs.
