A 17TH century play, music, art, and sport will take centre stage at an Oxford school’s arts festival later this month.
The Master of Magdalen College School, Dr Tim Hands, founded the festival last year, and it was so successful it is set to become an annual event.
James Digby, 15, will appear as Lord Lasso in the 1605 play The Gentleman Usher.
He said: “It’s great that after exams there’s a complete shift from academic priorities to putting on entertainment for other people. I’m very excited about it. It will be good fun.”
The festival runs from Friday, June 25, to Saturday, July 3, and will see 34 events taking place at 12 venues.
Most events are open to the public, including talks by writer Germaine Greer, children’s author Michael Morpurgo and fashion designer Wayne Hemingway.
