The mayor of Abingdon raised more than £550 for charity by jumping from a plane.
Town councillor Duncan Brown was joined by Bicester firefighters Nigel Cheney and Lee Churchouse, and Mr Brown’s deputy, Alastair Fear, for the skydive on Saturday.
He raised £550 for the Fire Fighters Charity and the Abingdon Bridge youth centre.
The 33-year-old said: “It was fantastic, really amazing.
“To be honest, I have been so busy in the last couple of weeks I had hardly thought about it.
“I was in the plane and out of it before I had the chance to be scared.
“But it is a lot better than Google Earth, I can tell you.
“Alastair was very brave as he gets motion sickness even on fairground rides, and in that sense it was much more of a challenge for him.”
He said Mr Fear had raised more than £300 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
