THOUSANDS of people took advantage of the sunshine and spent the day at Banbury Show.
Now in its second year, there was entertainment for the whole family at the event held in Spiceball Park, including a dog show.
Children had their faces painted and enjoyed fairground rides, a penalty shoot-out and quad bike rides.
The main attractions at Sunday’s show were car clown act Dingle Fingle and Slippery Sid, who stood by their word and gave the crowd a soaking.
Elsewhere residents were given a taste of multicultural Banbury in the Cherwell Community marquee, with displays by dance groups and a martial arts group.
For the second year running, the tug-of-war was won by a team from Doorsafe Security, which has its offices in the town.
Organiser Ann Sewell, of Banbury Town Council, said: “The community of Banbury have once again served their town proud with such a fantastic attendance.
“The committee would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone who visited Spiceball Park to support this event.
“We look forward to bringing the town yet another family day of entertainment next year.”
