Police today appealed for helped in tracing a woman who failed to appear at court for sentencing after being found guilty of GBH with intent at Oxford Crown Court.
Adelle McColl was charged with assault on July 22, after she violently assaulted a man in Northbourne Court, Didcot, on March 13, 2009.
She did not turn up for her trial on Monday, June 7, but the judge allowed the trial to continue in her absence. Following a three-day trial she was found guilty on Wednesday of GBH and GBH with intent.
A warrant for her arrest has been issued.
PC Dave Edwards said: “We know that Adelle uses aliases and is commonly known as Julie Dance. She has ties to Didcot and the Melksham area.
“She is very distinctive and can be described as white, 5ft 4in tall, slim build, with short bleached-blonde hair, blue tattooed/pencilled eyebrows, and a scar on the left side of her face.
"She also has a mole or dot tattoo on the left side of her mouth just above her lip.”
