Police are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to a mosque in Banbury.
Stones were thrown at the window of the Banbury Mosque in Merton Street, Banbury, smashing one of the windows and causing damage to one of the outer doors.
The attack happened at 2.10am on Sunday but details were only released this afternoon.
PC Stephen Perry said: “There are reports of three youths who were seen in the area at the time of the incident, and I would be keen to speak with them about this matter so as to rule them out of our investigation.
“I would also like to speak with anyone else who may have been in the area who either witnessed the incident or saw anyone suspicious, to come forward and speak with us as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Perry via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
