City councillor Bob Price (Oxford Mail, May 27) has highlighted the need for more houses in Oxford, but one very important point he conveniently ignores is the fact that there are city council-owned properties in the city standing empty and left to rot.
Some have been left that way for a number of years.
They include two city council-owned houses in Oxford Road, Horspath which have been empty for more than six years.
If Mr Price and Andrew Smith are so concerned about the housing shortage why do they not do something about these houses?
