Police today appealed for witnesses after four masked men forced their way into a Tesco Express store in Bicester.
Four members of staff were in the process of cashing up after the shop had closed when four men wearing masks and dark clothing entered the premises in Nightingale Avenue, Langford Village.
Det Insp Steve Duffy said: “The members of staff locked themselves in the office until the offenders had left. It does not appear that anything was stolen."
The raid happened at about 11.15pm on Friday but details were only released this afternoon.
Det Insp Duffy said: “I appeal to anyone who saw four men acting suspiciously in the area late on Friday evening to contact police immediately.”
