THIS is the earliest known photograph of a Kidlington Football Club team.
It was taken in 1909, the year the club was founded.
Little is known about the early history of the club, but as we reported (Oxford Mail, May 10), village postman Wayne Tilling hopes to fill in at least some of the gaps.
He is trying to piece together the club’s history and trace its numerous grounds in its proud 101-year history.
Some recall the club playing at Begbroke, then in the centre of Kidlington before moving to its present ground in Yarnton Road.
Mr Tilling has gathered information about the club from the 1930s, but details of the period before are sketchy.
If you can add to the club’s history, email Mr Tilling at info@kidlingtonfc.org.uk
