Parents of a little girl who was adopted have been told they cannot keep photos of her growing up, following a legal challenge by Oxfordshire County Council.

London Civil Court of Appeal judge, Lord Neuberger, yesterday ruled the birth parents can only see their three-year-old daughter’s image at the council’s offices and cannot take photos away with them.

Last year, a judge at Oxford County Court ordered the adoptive parents to send an annual photograph of their daughter to her natural parents.

However, the council challenged the decision, arguing it could allow the natural parents to track down their daughter to her new home.
