CLERGY and choristers processed through the streets of Headington Quarry in 1956 to mark the arrival of the new vicar of Holy Trinity Church. The Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Rev Dr Harry Carpenter, led the service which followed.
A holiday school at Lime Walk Methodist Church in 1970 proved a huge success when 130 children turned up on the first day. In the next picture, Alison Brooks, Maria Stevens, Christine Bolt, Susanna Matchett and Karen Harrison are seen making sponge rubber animals.
The third picture was taken at the Collinwood Road Congregational Church in 1961 at a ‘basket supper’, to mark the 10th anniversary of the minister, the Rev Tom Stiff.
