Cowley Community Centre B pulled off a fine comeback to defeat hosts Angel Bicester 5-4 in the Premier Section of the ODDA League.
Wins from Dick Foster, Kevin Middleton and John Fowler (180) put Angel 3-0 up.
The visitors levelled at 3-3 and a 2-1 pairs win gave them the match.
Shelley Arms C also had a 5-4 success in their match at Rowing Machine.
Jamie Byles and Terry Wood put them 2-0 up, but Jamie Burke (180) and Pete Eagle levelled.
Shelley edged into a 3-2 lead when Ray Pape beat John Britnell, but once again the home side fought back to level thanks to the consistent Nigel Russell. A 2-1 pairs win sealed a thriller for Shelley.
Nuffield Arms A's Section 2 title hopes received a minor setback when they lost 6-3 at Red Lion A.
The visitors started well when Bill Farnsworth won the opening game before Steve Gaisford levelled.
Nuffield led 2-1, but wins from Keith Abrey, Trevor Skinner and Mark Laverack put Lion 4-2 up before a 2-1 pairs success.
Littlemore Royal British Legion kept up their title challenge with a battling 5-4 win over a very strong Steventon Sports Club.
Hosts Cowley Workers Club A lost 6-3 to Section 3 rivals George Bar B.
James Harding put Cowley ahead, but wins from Dave Witherwick, Justin Barrett, Darryl Ingram and Bob Boyce gave George a 4-1 lead.
Workers reduced the gap to 4-2 when Dyllan Davies beat Steve Pladdys and George took the pairs 2-1 for a fine 6-3 success.
