IT is amazing how it all adds up. The Summertown branch of Oxfam is about to celebrate its 25th birthday at its present site and in that time it has earned the aid charity more than £3m in profit.
That equates to roughly £384 a day, every day, averaged over a six-day working week.
The shop’s celebrations will feature past Royal visits, but we hope it also recognises the real celebrities of the store – the people who have donated items and shopped there over the past quarter-century.
