Bus operators are expecting some city services to be delayed by tonight’s open-top parade to celebrate Oxford United’s Wembley win.
Stagecoach has said it expected heavy delays on its 1, 10 and 12 services which travel along the Cowley Road to Blackbird Leys and the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The firm also predicted the number 3 to Rose Hill and the 7C to Barton would be affected when the parade reached the city centre.
Tonight’s parade will leave the Kassam Stadium at 6pm and go along Oxford Road and Cowley Road before arriving into Broad Street at about 7.15pm.
Oxford Bus Company said its routes could also be affected, but that it was putting on extra inspectors to monitor the traffic situation and divert buses if necessary.
