Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Headington Road, Oxford.
Burglars broke into a student house via the ground rear window and stole a number of high-value items worth approximately £7,500.
Items included jewellery, watches, laptops, iPods, computer games consoles and perfume.
The break-in happened between 2pm and 4pm on Friday, but details were only released today.
Det Con Charlotte Dunford said: “If you heard or saw anything on Friday afternoon, please get in touch. Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time?
“Home security is very important. Please remember to lock all your doors and windows, even if you are only going out for a short while.
“Students need to be particularly vigilant. To a thief, their property could be a goldmine as they might have multiple high-value items. Never leave these on display or visible to passers-by.”
