MORE than 35,000 Us fans are celebrating at Wembley Stadium following the club's thrilling 3-1 victory over York City.
A tight and nervy encounter was finally put to bed by Alfie Potter's late finish.
The victory put Oxford United back into the Football League.
Fan Damon Farrant, 24, an accountant from Cowley, said: "What a fantastic win - it's great to be back in the Football League and it's long overdue."
Dale Jacobs, 19, from Headington, added: "It's great to be back in the Football League. It was tense right to the end but I knew we would do it."
John Roper, 44, also from Headington, watching with son Lewis, 10, added: "I'm ecstatic. I have supported Oxford all my life and this feels even better than the Milk Cup. I can't explain how good this feels."
