I WOULD like to thank Dr Evan Harris for all the good work he has done for people living in Oxford West and Abingdon during the last 13 years.
I have contacted him many times for support, and he has always given 100 per cent.
He has been very supportive of foster carers, cutting the ribbon when we have been recruiting in Abingdon and attending other events.
I have many photographs of him. He has always valued the work which foster carers do.
A few weeks ago he was involved with the Fire and Rescue service over proposed cuts. He listened, as always, to the public.
He has also fought to save Abingdon Hospital and supported many other issues.
It has been a pleasure to know him and I will always appreciate the good work he has done.
When I lost my son four years ago, he wrote me a lovely letter. He knew what it was like to lose someone very special.
Well Evan, many thanks for everything you have done for so many people. We will always be grateful.
DOREEN SILLMAN, Parsons Mead, Abingdon
