FANS are now getting ready to take their seats in Wembley Stadium with just over an hour to go before the big kick off.
Pete Dillon, 59, an Oxford United steward for the past 35 years, said: "It's my wife's Sue's 54th birthday today, but I told her I wasn't going to miss this for anything and got my daughter to take her shopping.
"I definitely think we've got the players to win it."
Oxford East MP Andrew Smith said: "It was great coming down the M40 and seeing all the blue and yellow scarves and it reminded me of when I came to the Milk Cup.
"The team is in good form and they just need to be relaxed and focused. I am sure they will do the business."
Andrew Brown, 37, a pipe fitter from Greater Leys, is at the game with wife Michelle, 38, her daughter Daisy, 14, and Daisy's friend Chey Brown, 13.
Mr Brown said: "We got the coach down from the Kassam and we've been soaking up the atmosphere by the Bobby Moore statue.
"I keep bumping into old friends and the Oxford fans are mixing very well with the York fans. There's no trouble."
John Croxton, 56, is at Wembley with wife Tania, 48, daughter Alex, 27, and son, Tom, nine.
Mr Croxton, who lives in Deddington, said: "It's a nice friendly, family atmosphere. I'm not over confident, but I think we have the right manager to do the job."
