THE 12.45pm train from Bicester North is now packed with excited Oxford United fans and is heading to Wembley.
Supporters are optimistic that the U's can see off the challenge from York City in the conference play-off final, which kicks off at 5pm.
Colin Webster, 52, from Abingdon, is travelling to the game with his 14-year-old daughter Becky.
He said: “I was at the Milk Cup in 1986 and it was a fantastic day out.
“I’m looking forward to an even better day today. It could be one of the greatest in the club’s history.
“It could go either way but I’m looking forward to Oxford returning to the Football League.”
Russell Thomas, 44, from Woodstock, said: “I’ve been a fan for 30 years. This is an even bigger game than the Milk Cup.”
Ashley Rowland, 22, from Didcot, said: “I’m here with all my mates and I’m feeling confident Oxford will score first - Constable is going to do it.”
