Oxford United's club shop has sold out of Wembley flags and T-Shirts as thousands of fans have flocked in to buy merchandise for tomorrow’s play-off final.

The shop has sold almost 1,500 Wembley 2010 play-off final scarves, 400 special edition home shirts and has sold out of its stock of 200 Wembley flags and 500 yellow sponge hands.

It had also sold the first run of the 1,000 Wembley T-shirts it ordered and is close to selling out of its second 1,000 print run.

In the build-up to the big match the club shop extended its opening hours from 5pm until 7pm for the last five days and will also open tomorrow for fans wanting to get any last-minute purchases.

Manager Hilary Sillman, who will be at the final on Sunday, said: “Sales have been exceptional and the shop has been non-stop since last Friday.

“The atmosphere has been brilliant in the shop and everybody’s really up for it.

“Seeing all the yellow and blue in the stadium will be fantastic.”
