TRANSPORT operators are laying on extra services for fans heading to Wembley on Sunday.

Stagecoach is running an extra seven “football special” Oxford Tube buses to Hillingdon, west London, for Metropolitan Line connections to Wembley Park. But the firm is warning passengers to allow extra time as heavy traffic is expected on the M40.

Chiltern Railways is laying on an extra 7,732 seats for fans coming from Banbury, Bicester North, Haddenham and Thame stations.

Those driving to stations are reminded that Bicester North’s car park will fill up quickly.

Chiltern services will take fans right to Wembley Stadium station.

First Great Western will add extra coaches to its half-hourly service from Oxford to London Paddington. Underground work is not expected to affect passengers from Oxford.
