POLICE have issued an appeal after a woman lost a rucksack containing results of an MRI scan.
The 58-year-old Chinese woman left the bag on the No.8 Oxford Bus Company bus in Headington at about 3pm on Tuesday as it headed into the city centre.
She left the bus in Queen Street at about 3.15pm, but later realised she had forgotten her bag – which was small, dark blue, and marked ‘Bodypack’.
Anya Young, from the Oxford Crime Investigation Management Unit, said: “The woman had come to England from Monaco, where she had undergone specialist medical treatment, and an MRI scan – the results of which were in her rucksack.
“These are the only copies of the scans and results. It was an expensive procedure which the woman cannot afford to repeat.
“We believe that two girls captured on the CCTV image may have seen the bag and know what happened to it. I am keen to speak to these girls and would ask them, or anyone who recognises them, to contact me.”
