Oxford United has declined to comment on the case of its midfielder Adam Chapman, who has admitted causing the death of a 77-year-old man by dangerous driving.
The club said it would not comment on the case "due to ongoing legal proceedings".
Chapman, of Hill View Crescent, Clarborough, admitted the offence when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court last week.
The charge relates to a collision on the A620 in May last year.
Chapman, 20, was bailed to be sentenced on June 4.
