Police are appealing for witnesses to a 'fail-to-stop' collision near Upper Heyford.
At about 4pm on Saturday, May 1, police received a report of a non-stop road traffic collision on the country road between Lower Heyford and Upper Heyford.
Police said a member of the public had to swerve off the road to avoid a dark blue Mercedes which had mounted the grass verge sending it travelling on the wrong side of the road towards them.
PC James Holstead, of Bicester Roads Policing base, said: “I am appealing for the driver of the dark coloured ‘people carrier’ type vehicle who was travelling on this stretch of road at the time to contact me at Bicester Roads Policing on 0845 8 505 505, as the driver of this vehicle may have vital evidence relevant to my investigation.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
