POLICE are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a flat in Kidlington this morning.

Officers forced their way into a flat in Manor Court, High Street, at 10.54am after witnesses reported seeing a man lying on the floor.

They discovered the body of a 28-year-old man in the living room.

Detectives and forensic experts remained at the scene, close to the shops in High Street, for several hours yesterday and Thames Valley Police confirmed it was treating the death as “unexplained”.

A neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said he had spotted an ambulance and several police cars outside Manor Court, a large stone property set back from the road, at about 11am.

He said: “I went out to visit a friend and saw the ambulance. There were two police cars and a police jeep and they were there for a considerable time.”

“The white forensics van arrived later.”

He added: “It is all individual flats and there are some new build flats around the back. You don’t see many people come and go because there is a car park behind.”
