MORE than 400 runners helped raise thousands of pounds for an Oxford charity.
Sunday’s Fun Run in Oxford’s University Parks is expected to have raised more than £20,000.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Oxford, was held in aid of Pathway Workshop, the Blackbird Leys-based charity which helps disadvantaged and disabled people back into work.
The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team had been due to drop in but had to cancel their performance because of bad weather.
Instead, team members drove to the parks and took part in the run.
Volunteer Mike Kyle said: “It was fantastic.
“We are really pleased with how it all went. Everybody who took part really got into the spirit of things and stuck around afterwards to enjoy a barbecue and drink.
“There were more than 40 people associated with the Pathways Workshop taking part, and there was a great effort from everybody.”
