Traffic is going slow on the southbound carriageway of the M40 this morning following an accident involving a car and a lorry near Banbury.
The accident happened about 7.15am between junction 12 at Gaydon and junction 11 at Banbury.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance said: “We did attend the incident.
“The air ambulance has taken one patient to hospital, while another patient has been taken to hospital in Coventry.”
She said the extent of the drivers’ injuries was not yet known.
