A man was killed this morning after the car he was driving crashed off the A40.
The 46-year-old’s silver Toyota Corolla left the westbound carriageway near Carterton just after 1am.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while two male passengers were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with non-life-threatening injuries.
The slip road off the A40 towards Carterton was closed by police for several hours but has now re-openeded.
Inspector Colin Clark said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen this incident and is able to provide us with some more information about how the vehicle came to leave the road.”
Anyone with information should contact the roads policing team on 0845 850 5505.
